Protect your home from scale, rust and system build‑up.

Wellan 2000 conditions municipal and borehole water to help protect the pipes, pumps, geysers, tanks, appliances, pools and irrigation systems connected to your property.

The hidden cost of scale

Scale can cost you more every month.

The white marks around a tap may be the visible clue. The more expensive problem can be developing inside the geyser, where scale forms around the heating element.

4–12% more electricity can be used by geyser elements affected by scale. South African research on domestic geyser heating elements.

Why scale increases electricity use

Scale creates an insulating layer around the element. The geyser must then work harder and longer to heat the same volume of water.

That extra strain can contribute to slower heating, higher running costs and more frequent element or thermostat problems.

The wider household cost

Heating systems work harder

Geysers, solar systems and heat pumps lose efficiency as scale builds up on heating surfaces.

Equipment takes more strain

Pumps, valves and appliances are affected by the same mineral deposits moving through the system.

Maintenance keeps returning

Descaling, blocked fittings, failing components and early replacement become ongoing costs.

Start with your water source

Municipal water or borehole water?

The problems may look different, but both systems can carry scale, deposits and corrosion through every part of the property.

City, suburban and estate homes

Municipal water

Condition the incoming supply before it reaches the household system.

Common problems
  • Hard-water scale on taps, showerheads and pool fittings
  • Scale inside geysers, solar systems, heat pumps and appliances
  • Rust, brown water and corrosion-related deposits from ageing infrastructure
  • Reduced flow through fittings and older pipework
  • Repeated descaling, repairs and appliance replacement

How Wellan helps

The ring is fitted to the incoming water line. It conditions the water before it moves through the home, helping reduce scale formation, loosen existing deposits and reduce rust and corrosion-related build-up throughout the connected system.

Farms, smallholdings and estates

Borehole water

Protect the borehole, tank, pump and household system as one connected network.

Common problems
  • High mineral content and rapid scale build-up
  • Iron, rust-coloured staining and corrosion-related deposits
  • Build-up in pumps, pressure systems, pipes and geysers
  • Sediment and biofilm developing in tanks and connected pipework
  • Blocked irrigation nozzles, pool equipment and filters

How Wellan helps

Wellan conditions the water through the borehole-and-tank system, helping reduce mineral attachment, scale, corrosion-related deposits and biofilm build-up across pumps, pipes, geysers, appliances, pools and irrigation.

Wellan 2000 water ring fitted around the outside of a pipe
The Wellan 2000 ring

One ring. One connected system.

The Wellan 2000 ring fits around the outside of the incoming pipe and conditions the water before it moves through the rest of the property.

No chemicals Nothing is added to the water.
No electricity No power supply or running cost.
No filters No cartridges or consumables to replace.
How Wellan 2000 solves the problem

It changes how deposits behave inside the system.

Wellan 2000 is fitted around the outside of the pipe. Its encoded frequency patterns are designed to influence crystallisation so minerals remain suspended in the water instead of attaching to pipes and equipment as hard scale.

As the conditioned water continues to circulate, existing deposits may gradually loosen and move through the system, where they can be flushed out.

Reduces new scaleHelps prevent minerals from attaching as hard deposits.
Loosens existing depositsSupports gradual breakdown and flushing of accumulated build-up.
Helps reduce corrosionSupports lower rust and corrosion-related build-up in connected systems.
Helps reduce biofilmReduces deposits and organic build-up that support biofilm formation.
No chemicals or filtersNothing is added to the water and there are no cartridges to replace.
No electricityNo power connection, moving parts or ongoing energy cost.
One installation. Whole-system protection.

Protect more than the visible fittings.

The value of Wellan is not simply cleaner taps. It is the protection of the equipment that carries, stores, heats and uses water throughout the property.

Geysers and hot-water systems

Helps reduce scale on heating surfaces, supports better heat transfer and lowers scale-related strain.

Pumps and pressure systems

Helps reduce mineral build-up around pumps, valves, pressure vessels and connected pipework.

Pipes and fittings

Helps reduce deposits that contribute to restricted flow, blocked outlets and repeated maintenance.

Tanks and borehole systems

Helps reduce deposits, corrosion-related build-up and biofilm formation across the connected system.

Appliances

Helps protect washing machines, dishwashers, kettles, coffee machines and other water-using equipment.

Pools and irrigation

Helps reduce scale and deposits in pumps, pipes, jets, valves and irrigation nozzles.
