Practical water technology for homes, businesses and industry.
Wellan 2000 provides a low-maintenance approach to water conditioning, helping reduce the effects of scale, corrosion and system build-up without chemicals, electricity or ongoing consumables.
Bringing European water-conditioning technology to Southern Africa.
Wellan 2000 South Africa supplies and supports the Wellan ring across residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial environments.
Our role is not simply to sell a product. We help clients understand where water-related deposits are affecting their systems, identify the correct ring size and determine the most suitable installation point.
From household geysers and borehole systems to hospitals, estates, factories and large process lines, every application begins with the same objective: protect the system and improve long-term water performance.
Invented in Germany by Klaus Wagner.
The Wellan 2000 story began with German inventor and founder Klaus Wagner, who set out to develop a practical way to address scale, corrosion and deposit-related water problems without chemical dosing, electrical power or replaceable filters.
His work led to the development of the Wellan 2000 ring: a physical water-conditioning device fitted around the outside of a pipe. The technology was designed to influence how minerals behave as water moves through a system, helping reduce the formation of hard deposits on internal surfaces.
From its German origins, the Wellan ring expanded into residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial applications across different markets and pipe sizes.
Terry Burt brought the Wellan story to Africa.
As the owner of Wellan 2000 Africa, Terry Burt has built the regional business around practical applications, technical guidance and long-term system protection.
His role extends beyond distribution. Terry works with homeowners, resellers, estates, hospitals, businesses and industrial clients to understand their water systems, identify the correct ring size and determine the best installation point.
That hands-on approach has helped establish Wellan 2000 across a wide range of Southern African environments, from household boreholes and geysers to large commercial and industrial water networks.
Simple technology. Responsible advice. Long-term value.
We focus on practical solutions that are easy to install, straightforward to maintain and suited to the realities of Southern African water systems.
Practical problem-solving
We start with the client’s actual water source, pipework and equipment rather than forcing every system into the same solution.
Clear technical guidance
We explain what the ring is designed to do, where it should be installed and what outcomes can reasonably be expected.
Low-maintenance thinking
Wellan 2000 requires no power, chemical dosing, cartridges or routine replacement once correctly installed.
A ring that works from outside the pipe.
The Wellan 2000 ring clamps around the pipe and does not come into direct contact with the water.
It is designed to influence how minerals crystallise as water moves through the system, helping reduce the formation of hard deposits on internal surfaces.
One technology, adapted to the way each client uses water.
Wellan 2000 has applications in homes, healthcare facilities, hotels, estates, agriculture, manufacturing, energy, cooling systems, boilers and process infrastructure.
A technology developed for long-term system protection.
The Wellan concept has received recognition for its approach to physical water conditioning and its ability to operate without chemical dosing or external power.
